Bio

I started drawing when I was very young, I don't remember a time when I didn't have paper and pencil to create characters and stories. After graduating high school in commerce and languages, I obtained a diploma from the three-year realistic drawing course at the Milan School of Comics, where I studied anatomy, inking, color technique, and scriptwriting.

Over the years, I have created comic stories, portraits, illustrations and, among others, graphic design, video editing, and colorist work (Tex, Dylan Dog, Disney).

Specializing in realism, I work with traditional techniques (dry pastels, oil pastels, graphite, colored pencils, and mixed media) and sometimes digital techniques (always hand-drawing but with iPad and painting programs like Procreate and Clip Studio Paint, rather than on paper).

I have always loved nature and animals and, over the past few years, I have discovered an even deeper connection with the natural and wildlife world, now the subject of my main works.

My other works: under the pseudonym P.M. Montanari I dedicate myself to writing thriller novels (Lily's Curse, The Darkness, Invisible), another great passion of mine, and under the pseudonym P.M. Highlanders I occasionally create fun cartoon-style illustrations.
